The Whole World Is Upside Down

Reflectors are not upside down, the world is...

We don’t know exactly who we are, and we may not ever find out. We are the mutables. Normally, we are taught to know exactly who we are, “Know thyself,” they say, but this very concept seems to translate to Reflectors as the entire cosmos and universe put together. There’s no fixed identity. There is no certainty with us, but that doesn’t bother us; we’re not looking for it. The rest of the world is.
While most people work as generators of energy, we are receivers and translators of it. Somebody has to do it.
Do not try to explain that we need to hustle or be consistent; that is like opening up our insides and tearing up what’s in there. Fast decision-making isn’t part of our makeup, and if we attempt to do so, it would be a detaching situation.

We honor absorption. We honor observation. Sudden clarity. We love retreating and staying there. The world is built on speed, grinding, pushing, action-oriented, with the energy button always turned on. It’s suffocating just thinking about it.

Pause.

Our gift as reflectors isn’t about how “we know things,” It’s about revealing what’s already festering, those things not visible to the naked eye. And when we’re inside this space, it feels as though things are shifting around, it’s full of questioning, and never lands on any particular fixed thing.
