The Unpredictables
In a world where people are predictable.... Reflectors are not.
When you are unpredictable, there’s an almost magical, subdued sense about it that can be deeply disorienting. Society people find predictability and consistency to shape their identity. As we have no recurring energy patterns, different types of people bring out different versions of us. Different places alter our energy, and different emotional climates shift our perceptions.
People whisper to themselves, “Tell me who you are, and stay that way.” We can’t. Because we discover who we are in relation to what we’re inside of. And many reflectors find that people see them as being unstable or flaky. What they’re missing is that we are highly responsive. Most people exist knowing they have a repetitive rhythm and predictable engagement patterns, which is missing with us.
Other human design types have recognizable patterns, ways that people can land on and say to themselves, “Oh, I know this person, they’re like this.” But Reflectors,
Different.
Most people have no idea what it’s like to live inside the body of this energy design. We feel misunderstood 99% of the time. We’re pressured constantly to become more fixed in everything, which is impossible. We are very hard to pin down. And it’s a grand challenge for us to grant ourselves the freedom of constant change; we need it desperately. It’s hard because most people insist we take the shape of a mold, so they can get a grasp on us.
We’re not here to fit into your world if you’re not a Reflector, don’t expect us to.
And the people with fixed patterns assume they run everything, but they will never run Reflectors. You see, we move between worlds psychologically, understanding multiple perspectives, and can adapt atmospherically, which allows us to perceive shifts that most other people miss. Yes, we are hard to define, but don’t try to figure us out. We are strangely perceptive, and most likely, seeing something “else.”
The more we try to become mechanically predictable, the more lifeless we feel, but we cannot allow chaos to take over because we will get buried in it. We literally need to be left to our own devices and our own little magical dwellings, but we are free to be free to hone our naturally shifting Inner experiences.
“How do you support them without trying to force them into being more predictable?”
